FAQ

  1. How long does shipping take?
Orders are usually shipped within 1–3 business days unless otherwise specified in the product listing. Standard delivery time is 1–2 weeks within Europe and 2–5 weeks outside Europe. Express delivery takes 2–5 days.
  2. Do you ship worldwide?
Yes, we ship to most countries around the world. All orders are shipped from Lithuania (EU).
  3. Will I be able to track my shipment?
Yes, all shipments are tracked. You will receive a tracking number once your order has been dispatched.
  4. Will I have to pay customs duties or import fees?
Orders shipped outside the European Union may be subject to local customs duties, taxes, or import fees. These charges are the responsibility of the buyer.
  5. What is your return policy?
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original condition. Please contact us before returning an item for instructions.
  6. I have a 1986 BMW E30 M3 coupe and I’m swapping in an S54 6-cylinder engine. Which instrument cluster coding chip should I use?
Use a 6-cylinder coding chip calibrated for an 8000 RPM tachometer.
  7. I swapped an M52B28 engine into my BMW E30, but the instrument cluster is from a diesel model. What coding plug do I need for the tachometer to show the correct RPM?
Since your cluster still has the diesel coding plug, you will need a standard 6-cylinder petrol coding plug to display the RPM correctly.
  8. After installing your coding plug, my tachometer sometimes stops working until I restart the engine. I didn’t have this issue before - could the coding plug be defective?
The most likely cause is weak or failing SI board batteries. Our coding plug is an emulator and draws slightly more power than the OEM chip, which can reveal battery issues. Replacing the SI board batteries should resolve the problem.
  9. I have a BMW E30 with an M50B25NV engine swap and the speedometer doesn’t work. What do I need to do, and which kit should I buy?
All E30 instrument clusters (VDO or Motometer, M3 or standard) are compatible and can be swapped interchangeably, except for the M3 Sport Evolution cluster which is slightly different.
If the wiring for the swap is done correctly, the cluster should work with M20, M50, M52, and M54 engines. A coding plug only affects the RPM gauge, fuel consumption gauge, and Service Interval display — not the speedometer, fuel level, or coolant temperature.
If the speedometer isn’t working, it’s likely a wiring or cluster condition issue, since many E30 clusters require servicing due to age. Correct RPM readings can be achieved with the proper 6-cylinder coding plug.
  10. I need a coding plug for a BMW E30 with an M54B30 engine swap. Will the BMW E30 6-cylinder swap coding plug board for 7000/8000/9000 RPM tachometers work?
Yes, it will work - as long as you are using a facelift E30 cluster with a 7000 RPM tachometer.
  11. Will the BMW E30 6-cylinder swap coding plug board for 7000/8000/9000 RPM tachometers work with an M52B28 (VDO cluster)?
Yes, it is compatible with the M52B28 swap, but make sure your tachometer is a 7000 RPM version. Otherwise, it will not display RPM correctly.
  12. I’m swapping an M54B30 engine into my BMW E30 316i. Will this BMW E30 6-cylinder swap instrument cluster coding plug work?
Yes, it is compatible with your swap.
  13. I have a 1991 BMW 318is swapped with an M50B25. Which coding plug do I need? My current cluster’s coding plug part number is 1394321.
The correct replacement is part number 1381683 - as long as your cluster has a 7000 RPM tachometer and the setup is for a 6-cylinder engine.
  14. I’m doing an S54 swap in my BMW E30 M3. Do you offer a coding chip for an OEM M3 cluster with an 8000 RPM tach?
Yes - choose the 6-cylinder option and select the version designed for an 8000 RPM cluster.
  15. Will the BMW E30 6-cylinder swap coding plug board 1381683 work with an M20B25?
Yes - but only in late-model instrument clusters with 7 SI LEDs.
  16. Will the E30 coding plug board for 7000/8000/9000 RPM tachometers work in my E39 with an M52 manual?
No - coding plugs are only compatible with E30 instrument clusters.
  17. I have an E30 M3 with an S52 swap. Which coding plug do I need?
You need a 6-cylinder coding plug designed for an 8000 RPM tachometer.
  18. I have a BMW E36 316i swapped to an M50B20. Can I use 6 -cylinder coding plug to fix the RPM signal?
No - coding plugs are only compatible with E30 clusters. For E36 swaps, use the REVC RPM Converter to correct the tachometer signal.
